Seminars

Master Rod Bohorquez is an experienced speaker as well as instructor.  He travels widely presenting seminars on Shim Myung Do, self defense, motivational topics and giving demonstrations.  If your feel your group would benefit from a seminar on one or more of these topics, please give us a call, we would be pleased to discuss how we may be of service.

Martial Arts Instructors, if you would like more information about Shim Myung Do and how your school can offer instruction in this branch of the martial arts, please contact us.

EFC Black Belt Educational Summit

Rod's International instructors from all over the country attended the EFC Black Belt Educational Summit held in October, 2005 in Orlando, Florida.  This is just one of many events our instructors participate in throughout the year in order to bring the latest teaching techniques and theories to our school, enhancing the students' fun and learning experience.  Here are a few pictures, but there will be more added in the coming week.

20th Anniversary Celebration

On November 22, 1998 a banquet was held in honor of Master Rod Bohorquez in celebration his 20th anniversary of teaching martial arts to students in the Kendall area.  The evening included demonstrations by the Power Team, a group of Master Rod's dedicated students who perform for school and civic groups around Miami throughout the year.

The students had a special commemorative video produced recounting the highlights of the past 20 years in Master Rod's career.  After viewing the documentary, the video was presented as a gift to the Master and his family.

Master Rod gave out special awards to students and instructors who had helped make his school successful over the years.

Black Belts were bestowed upon a large group of students who had recently completed their testing.  The new Black Belts performed their forms in expert precision then set the stage for the finale: a spectacular demonstration of breaking techniques by Master Rod.
